This policy describes the behavior of the currently shipping version of Stream. If a future feature changes what data the app handles, this policy will be updated first, as described in Section 12.

Summary — Stream collects no personal data. Your notes are stored only on your device. The current version works without any network connection. The developer cannot see your notes.

1. Data We Collect

None. Stream does not collect or transmit any personal data — no name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, advertising identifier (IDFA), device identifier, usage data, or diagnostics. There is no account or sign-in.

2. Where Your Notes Are Stored

Notes, tags, and to-do states are stored only on your device, in a file (stream-memos.json) inside the app's private container. The file is not accessible to other apps, is never uploaded, and is deleted when you delete the app. Neither the developer nor any third party can access it.

3. Network Access

The current version of Stream does not connect to the internet and contains no third-party SDKs — no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting. Stream does not track you or link your activity across other apps or websites.

4. Device Features

Feature How it works
Lock Screen Live Activity Displays your in-progress to-do text on the Lock Screen. Handled entirely on-device; no push notification server is used.
Lock Screen Control Opens the app. Nothing else.
URL scheme (stream://) Used only for in-app navigation to a specific note.

Stream does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, health, or notification permissions.

5. Exporting Notes

When you choose Settings → Export Notes, the app writes your notes to a Markdown file and hands it to the iOS share sheet. You choose the destination. The file is never sent to the developer or any third party. Once you send it to another app or service, that service's privacy policy applies.

6. Device Backups

If you use iCloud Backup or a computer backup, Stream's data may be included in your own backup as part of normal iOS behavior. Such backups belong to your Apple Account and are governed by Apple's privacy policy. The developer has no access to them.

7. Contacting Support

If you email us via Settings → Contact, your email address and message are sent to the developer. This is used solely to answer your inquiry and is deleted afterward. It is never used for other purposes or shared with third parties.

8. Third Parties

Because no personal data is collected, none is shared with, disclosed to, or processed by any third party, and no data is transferred internationally.
